The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Region Dalarna offers specialized care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old with more severe mental health issues and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Now you have the opportunity to become part of our team at the BUP reception in Avesta as we are looking for an investigative psychologist.

BUP Region Dalarna consists of five outpatient clinics and regional shared resources with an emergency team, ward 68 for inpatient care, a family therapy unit, and the eating disorder unit, Tornet, all of which are under a common operations manager. The BUP reception in Avesta is located at Avesta Hospital. The reception has pleasant facilities in a calm environment. Here, a warm, cheerful professional team works with nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and a manager. The clinic's operations cover the municipalities of Avesta and Hedemora.

As an investigative psychologist at the BUP reception in Avesta, you will conduct comprehensive assessments to capture the child's/adolescent's issues. The assessment includes initial visits for assessment questions, interviews, testing with recognized instruments, school observations, and feedback sessions. 

As a psychologist, you play an important role in the interdisciplinary collaboration where you contribute your perspective in assessment, investigation, and psychotherapeutic treatment. The work is very varied and involves individuals, families, and groups, and there is an opportunity to specialize in specific areas and patient groups depending on your interests and expertise. For those who are engaged in contributing to the development of the operations, there is also a chance to work with supervision and improvement projects, creating a dynamic and stimulating work environment where you can influence and develop professionally. 

Requirements:

• Licensed psychologist
• Experience in assessment, investigation, and treatment work
• Driver's license B

Meritorious:

• Further training as a specialist psychologist
• Licensed psychotherapist
